Our Values

Symbio’s model works toward a triple bottom line that benefits people, profit and the planet.

Symbio’s reputation is built on fiscally viable environmentalism. Our actions are guided by a set of core values that shape our culture:

1: Sustainability
We are committed to reducing environmental impact by transforming organic waste into valuable resources, fostering a more sustainable future for businesses and the planet. We recognize the importance of a robust sustainability ecosystem, and strive to partner with organizations, businesses and governmental agencies that share these goals.

2: Integrity
We foster both personal and professional integrity. Transparency, honesty, and accountability guide every decision and interaction, cultivating trust in all our relationships. We practice ethical negotiation that recognizes our shared humanity.

4: Adaptability
Recognizing the unique needs of every partner, we embrace flexibility of offerings and pricing—tailoring our solutions to unlock the full potential of their waste streams. We aim to exceed expectations and set new benchmarks in the industry.

3: Responsible Innovation
By harnessing cutting-edge fermentation technology and scientific expertise, we continuously push the boundaries of possibility to create scalable, customized solutions for our partners. We are committed to bioethics, and exceed international norms on benefit-sharing and responsible use of biological assets.

Our vision is to help businesses view waste as an opportunity by revolutionizing fermentation-based solutions, empowering industries to transform surplus into value and driving toward a sustainable future for a growing world.

Our Vision:

Our mission is to enable businesses to turn organic waste into valuable resources that: reduce costs, improve operational efficiency, and support sustainability goals in a measurable and impactful way.

Our Mission:

Ethics and Bioethics

We are committed to the highest ethical standards. We strive to be faithful to the key principles of integrity, responsibility, and excellence in all we do. Simply put — we are devoted to doing the right thing in the right way and being an organization worthy of the utmost trust.

Because of the unique risks involved with food biotechnology and genetic modification of organisms, we have a special obligation to act ethically.

Our Code of Ethics outlines our policies for ethical behavior and responsible research ethics. Our ethics program is overseen by an appointed Ethics Officer, responsible for evaluating company decisions and handling ethics-related concerns.

We are always interested in engaging with the community to continually evaluate our business. If you are an ethicist or bioethicist interested in working with Symbio, please email info@symbiobc.com.

Symbio strives to create an inclusive, safe and kind environment for all of our employees, clients, vendors and collaborators. We recognize the tremendous value of diverse viewpoints, identities and abilities to achieving the most immense breakthroughs.
